
AEC-Q100 Certification
In September 2023, Shenzhen Zhinan Semiconductor Co., Ltd ("Zhinan Semiconductor") successfully passed the AEC-Q100 certification for three automotive-grade low-noise op-amps, ZN721PDBQ1(SOT23-5), ZN722PSCQ1(SOP8) and ZN724JAQ1(SOP14), which meet the AEC-Q100 Grade1, MSL-1 and AEC-Q100 Grade1 and MSL-1 requirements. ZN724JAQ1(SOP14) products are to meet the AEC-Q100 Grade1, MSL-1. AEC-Q100 certification by the International Automotive Electronics Council (AEC) AEC (Automotive Electronics Council) to develop and promote, is the automotive electronic systems in the integrated circuit evaluation of the common standards, the certification is mainly for automotive The certification focuses on the strict quality and reliability confirmation of the application chips, especially on the standard specification test of the product function and performance, in order to improve the stability and standardization of the in-vehicle electronics.

Application 1: Motor Control Systems
In electric vehicles, the motor controller converts the electrical energy stored in the power battery into the electrical energy needed to drive the motor to control the driving status of the electric vehicle such as start-up operation, in-and-out speed, climbing effort, etc., or will help the electric vehicle to brake and store part of the braking energy into the power battery.

Application 2: On-Board Chargers (OBC)
New energy vehicle charging can be categorized into DC charging and AC charging:
(1) DC charging "fast charging", the use of external "DC charging pile" to charge the power battery, without the use of on-board chargers;
(2) AC charging "slow charging", AC charging pile will AC grid single-phase alternating current (220V) or three-phase alternating current (380V) current supplied to the vehicle mounted in the vehicle's on-board charging machine (OBC), the OBC can be converted from AC to DC power to charge the new energy vehicles.
